WHAT IS MILAN?

MILAN Project works for the health care of Asian elderly ladies and for their well being.

It is a group which for over ten years has provided bi-lingual day care and support services to elderly Asian women in Leamington Spa.

It aims to prevent isolation among elderly Asian women by providing a range of activities, including health-care sessions, exercise and trips.

It develops their health and provides advice and assistance to Elderly Asian women which relieves their needs and provides culturally needed services

Over the past year, Milan have enjoyed a range of health-care activities.

Following a grant from the Lottery Commission, a wider range of sessions have been introduced, including:
  • Massage & aromatherapy
  • Skin care
  • Chiropody
  • Exercise Session
  • Swimming
  • A hot meal is provided to members at every session

    Other events the ladies of Milan have enjoyed over the past year include:

  • A day in London, where the ladies saw the Millennium Dome, the London Eye and other sights before visiting Madame Tussauds and the Planetarium.
  • Day trips to Southend- On-Sea in August 2000 and to Cornwall in June 2001
